ABOUT US

New Material Books is an independent bookstore in Kansas City, MO. We curate art books and small press literature, sourced from around the world. We also host poetry readings, art exhibits, and artist talks in our space.

Our sunlit store is located on the 7th floor of the historic Livestock Exchange Building, in the West Bottoms neighborhood of Kansas City. 

NMB is run by two poets who are passionate about books and the artistic communities that develop around them. Stop by to shop, attend an event, or chat with us!
